As emergent systems grow more complex, interactions no longer simply accumulate — they begin to oppose, constrain, and redefine one another. Within this web of interactions, forces do not only connect — they also contend. These paintings consider the tension between agonist and antagonist: forces that oppose and condition one another across socioeconomic, archaeological, and geopolitical systems. Form arises through resistance and counteraction, where even rupture becomes part of continual renegotiation.
