As interactions accumulate across time, variation continually introduces new possibilities. This three panel work reflects on evolutionary and ecological systems in which complex forms emerge through adaptation, variation, and continual modification. Unintended disruptions, mutations, and deviations become the source of new structures, generating order without centralized command over long periods of time. (Acrylic paint, sumi ink, enamel, clay slip, oil pastel, and oil paint on canvas, three-panel installation, approx. 55×170 overall, 2026).
